Welcome to Generation Food! A blog that hopes to delight you with my delectable restaurant and café reviews, recipes, food photography and more! Generation Food offers a fresh perspective, representing the new generation of food appreciation.
A little bit about me. I have been a food-lover for as long as I can remember (I have embarrassing fat kid photos of myself to prove it!). I have always had the biggest sweet-tooth; always loved the look and taste of all kinds of desserts. In fact, I remember a time when I was about 8 and devoured an entire block of Cadbury’s Chocolate before the rest of my family could say “I feel like chocolate!”.
I am now 22 years old and nothing’s changed. I still love devouring entire blocks of chocolate, and boy, do I love to EAT! One of my favourite things to do is to go out with friends and eat. Almost every week we are out trying different restaurants and stuffing our faces silly until we feel bloated to the point we can’t fit in one more spoonful of ice-cream for dessert.
When it comes to cooking, it has always been so much fun for me. From helping mum out with dinner to spontaneously going into the kitchen and cooking a meal for my family, I have always loved the feeling of being in there and creating something yummy for our tummies. Though I am an amateur cook, I hope to learn a whole lot more about food, develop my culinary abilities and grow as a foodie (and probably physically, too!) through this blog.
Why did I start this blog?
I love to write. Second to food, writing is my passion. I have always loved writing creatively – from the moment I wrote my very first short story when I was 10 about a princess, a dragon and a castle, I knew writing and me would have a beautiful relationship in the future. So why not combine the two greatest passions in my life?
But most of all, I started the blog to show off my passion for the best thing ever created by the almighty being that lives up in the sky somewhere. Food will always be a passion throughout my lifetime, it’s what nourishes us and gives us the ultimate pleasure in life, and Generation Food wants to celebrate and appreciate the one constant thing in our life; the thing that nourishes and pleasures us – food.
I ❤ food.
